Norbert appeared with Olympia and Apollo Dukakis in Lysistrata Unbound at the Getty Museum in LosAngeles. This prequel to Aristophanes’ Lysistrata tells of an aristocratic Athenian matron who is crushed by fateful events and gradually transformed into the most celebrated peace activist of the ancient world. Lysistrata Unbound is written by Award-winning playwright Eduardo Machado, and is directed by John Farmanesh-Bocca.

Norbert Weisser is a founding member of the Odyssey Theatre, the ProVisional Theatre and the Padua Hills Playwrights Festival. He has performed in theatres throughout Europe and the US,including on Broadway where he played Rode in Ronald Harwood’s ‘Taking Sides.’ He has directed plays at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco and the Mark Taper Forum’s New Playwrights Festival and co-produced Times Like These at ATJT in San Francisco and at CRT in Albany, NY. For his work in theatre he has received LA Weekly, Ovation and Drama Logue Awards and LA Drama Critics nominations.
